Raspberry Pi, the mini computer engineered by British technicians and manufactured by British industries has made its one millionth unit.
The tiny computer was designed to target the education sector as a simple, affordable and playful way to introduce children to programming and coding. A slow start was followed by a strong uptake from avid computer programmers, novices and enthusiasts alike.
The Raspberry Pi is revolutionising how schools teach IT, which until now has focussed on the end user side of information technology. Now children have an opportunity to gain hands on experience of the behind the scenes processes in computing.
Now Raspberry Pi have celebrated their 1 millionth Pi!
