Adobe has announced that it is to stop selling its creative suites as boxed products.
The company announced to a number of sources that from April 30th 2013 it will cease to sell programs including Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver and Illustrator in shops as boxed items. Instead all software will be available to download online via Adobes cloud service ‘Creative Cloud’.
The creative suites will also be available in plan style offer, much like Office 365. For a yearly or monthly fee users can subscribe to their choice of programs and services.
This is a big move for the creative software company and highlights the impact of the cloud.
