Bristol is among one of 10 UK cities which will benefit from £100m of government funding in an attempt to get more SME’s connected to super fast broadband.
The fund will be available to small and medium sized enterprises in Bristol as well as Belfast, Cardiff, Derby, Edinburgh, London, Newport, Portsmouth and Salford. Companies can apply for grants of up to £3000 to aid them getting setup with super fast broadband. The grants aim to give SME’s in the chosen cities a chance to get connected and boost business as a result.
The government hope that the fund will increase UK business and improve international business relations whilst contributing to the UK’s bid to become home to the best digital infrastructure in the world.
