Google will be updating its Chrome browser to add additional security features to reduce the risk of malware.
A new measure will be taken to ensure that suspicious and malicious plug ins for Chrome are detected and automatically removed. These plug ins can often come as a part of a legitimate add on. Researchers at ESET recently discovered malicious code within a popular Chrome browser plug in that could of lead to a DDoS attack. The user will now have the option to enable this advanced security feature to ensure best protection when browsing.
Chrome will also be introducing an easy restore option for users to easily restore their browsers in the event of a successful online attack. This will allow users to restore their devices browsers back to their original state, at present this can only be done within the browsers settings. Viruses however can often restrict the access that the user has to their settings.
