Hewlett Packard has announced a new service which takes a completely new approach to threat management, by rectifying the damage caused by successful attacks. The new HP Breach management Solutions department will aim to deal with a variety of issues that may be experienced post a security breach.
The service will cover a number of issues experienced in the event of a machine being compromised. Charged at a per hour rate the 24/7 service will provide consultancy to advise on how to minimise the effects, gather evidence for prosecution and recover lost, stolen or corrupt files.
