Professional networking site suffered a DNS hijack in the early hours of this morning.
Traffic to the popular site was redirected to a site hosted by another company. The destination site did not require SSL certification so users who were directed here would have had their live session cookies sent in plain text.
LinkedIn tweeted the below message at 2.43am.
LinkedIn were quick to pick up on the DNS hijack and have restored access to most users, although many are still having trouble accessing certain areas of the site.
