Microsoft’s September update released just one week ago has had to be replaced with a new update following reports of bug ridden fixes in the original patches.
Fixes were re-released for 4 of the 13 patches addressing a variety of Windows and Microsoft programs including Office and SharePoint.
Microsoft received numerous feedback from customers who reported that last Tuesdays update attempted to install numerous times, much to the annoyance of the user. Some Windows server users weren’t offered the update automatically, leaving servers potentially unpatched and vulnerable.
Microsoft released a statement saying that they have investigated and identified the problem. This has since been resolved and the patched update re-released.
