Salesforce, a customer relationship management (CRM) sales application has announced that they will be adding an additional three new data centres in Europe, as well as creating an additional 500 jobs. This is due to a 41% increase in its European revenue in the start of 2014.
The company will open its first additional data centre in the UK in August 2014, and two other centres in France and Germany during 2015. The new data centres will provide additional support to Salesforce .com’s cloud computing services among a growing base of customers in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
According to the Salesforce website, the application ‘connects the next generation of apps, devices, and customers. It’s an instant connection to your leads, contacts, accounts, and critical business information’.
The data centres will be built by NTT Europe a ‘long distance and international communications’ company who are owned by NTT Communications.
