The MobileBeat conference kicked off in San Francisco this week and unsurprisingly among the exhibitors were Samsung, who revealed their latest technology breakthrough… a fold-able smartphone.
The preview video featured a device which could be folded in two places to create different sized displays for the various uses of modern smartphones. The phone also showed a changeable colour screen that appeared to alter dependant on what fold setting the user was currently using. The main feature of the video shows a woman using a small clear patch sensor that digitally fed back to a health check app on the phone. The video has received criticism online, suggesting that the concept is unrealistic and had set expectations such a device way too high, for the present day at least.

We’ll just have to see what Samsung has up its sleeve for the consumer market.
