The first ever Microsoft micro-computer, designed by CircuitCo to compete with the popular Linux Raspberry Pi is due to be released.
The credit card sized computer named ‘Sharks Cove’ will boast a number of features including over 20 different connection options, an Intel processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, as well as an HDMI port. The Intel Atom Z3735G processor offers 1.88GHz of power from it’s 4 cores.
Sharks Cove can run both Windows 8.1 and Android making it a beneficial tool to developers testing both mobile and desktop applications. The unit costs approximately £193, a considerable amount more than the bargain £25 Raspberry Pi which has sold over a million units worldwide.
Sharks Cove is expected to land in the UK in the coming months.
