TrueCrypt Encryption is NOT Secure

TrueCrypt, the popular open source encryption application for free security protection, is no longer receiving any updates and may not be secure.

This announcement was made on the TrueCrypt website detailing the following information:

The development of TrueCrypt was ended in 5/2014 after Microsoft terminated support of Windows XP. Windows 8/7/Vista and later offer integrated support for encrypted disks and virtual disk images. Such integrated support is also available on other platforms. You should migrate any data encrypted by TrueCrypt to encrypted disks or virtual disk images supported on your platform.

Users operating Ultimate and Enterprise editions of Microsoft’s Windows Vista and Windows 7 and Pro and Enterprise editions of Windows 8 are being advised to migrate existing data to BitLocker – instructions can be found on the TrueCrypt home page.

If you do not have the option to purchase BitLocker or if you would prefer to use a separate security source, we would advise you to consider BeCrypt.

Becrypt is a multi-platform security program that provides enterprise data protection solutions to security conscious businesses. We have been successfully providing Becrypt to many of our other clients and believe it to be one of the best paid for security applications available. As Becrypt is a paid for application and comes with support, it is highly unlikely that any situation such as this would occur without any kind of support.
