Two more internationally recognised service providers have introduced two factor authentication to their security features.
Professional networking site LinkedIn and cloud based notes and to do list service Evernote have both recently implemented two factor authentication as an optional extra for their users. Customers can chose to be sent a one time passcode via SMS message, this unique code when input into the service authenticates the genuine identity of the user.
This move comes following the recent introduction of a dual verification from various online services, including Twitter and Google.
Two factor authentication is just one type of advanced security feature which is becoming increasingly more common for online services, and there are more due to arrive on our screens any time soon.
